Technopark Cricket Tournament 2009 Announced The 2009 edition of Technopark Cricket Tournament will commence on 14th November 2009. This edition too will be hosted by Crickees, however, this year Crickees is coming up with a new tournament hosting platform which includes features like Live updates, Player profiles etc. The new version will be live soon. Kristal Cup 2008 - Final IBS has emerged as the champion of the Kristal Cup Technopark Cricket Tournament 2008! In the final match , IBS defeated NeST by 7 wickets to lift the coveted trophy.

Ankit Puri (IBS) was declared the 'Man of the Match'. Jithin C (NeST) has bagged the 'Man of the Series', the 'Best Batsman', the 'Best Batsman in a Match' and 'Most Sixes' awards. Kristal Cup 2008 - Final The Kristal Cup Technopark Cricket Tournament 2008 is now reaching its final stage. The winners of today's semifinal matches, IBS & NeST, are going to battle it out in tomorrow's final. To view the outcome of this match, visit the results page.

Semi Finals On 7th February four teams are going to fight it out for a place in the finals. IBS takes on Group 4 in the first semi-final and Nest takes on V Graphics in the second semi-final. The winners will go face to face on 8th February. Watch out for the outcome at the results page.

Tourney progress We are nearing the end of the tournament with the final match scheduled to be held on the 8th of February. Only knock-out match that remained to be played was Sea View vs Nest A, Sea View won by 10 wickets. In other matches IBS defeated UST Global by 7 wickets and Infosys was victorious against Speridian by 3 wickets.

Stats update Jithin C. of NeST smashed the first century of the tournament, scoring 112 off 50 balls. The TATA ELXSI vs Visual Graphics match ended in an exciting tie and the winner was determined after a bowl-out. Check out more stats in the Stats page. Tourney progress From the results obtained thus far, six teams have definitely made it into the quarterfinal stage and they are Revenue Med, Group 4, IBS, UST, NeST and Visual Graphics.

Knock out & pre-quarter The tournament reaches its crescendo with three match-days full of exciting cricket. The knock-out stage will end on Saturday and then we are off to the pre-quarter stage, where we already have matches scheduled for Infosys, Extolution, Speridean, Revenue Med and Head Load Workers. Tourney progress Infosys A and Accentia were the last teams to qualify for the knock-out stage while HLW, TATA ELXSI, M2 A, Extolution and Speridian have entered the pre-quarter stage. Hat-trick correction Previously it was reported that Vikas of Infosys A scored the first hat-trick of the tournament in their match against QBurst A, but in reality Vivek from Speridian Technologies had accomplished this earlier and that too a double hat-trick. This happened in the match between Speridian Technologies and TATA Communications on January 3rd, 2009.

Knock-out stage matches 10 matches have been finalised for the 1st round of the knock-out stage. Download the fixture. 6 teams have been offered a bye into the 2nd round of the knock-out stage. They are Revenue Med, UST-Global, IBS, Infosys, TOONZ and Visual Graphics. The winners of Group W and Group Z will only be known after the matches on Saturday, January 17th.

Tourney progress The group stage matches will draw to a close on Saturday, January 17th. The tournament shifts a gear and enters the next stage after that. The schedule will be updated as soon as the match fixture is finalised. All the best to all the teams who've advanced to the next stage.

Stats update After the matches this weekend the stats page has underwent some major revisions. Jithin C. of NeST recorded the highest individual batting score of 99 runs. Vikas of Infosys A devastated the QBurst A batting lineup when he claimed the first hat-trick of the tournament, finishing his spell with a total of 6 wickets. The match between RR Donnelley and Saturn Systemware was noted for its hard-hitting display by both the teams. The combined total of the match crossed the 250 mark where RR Donnelley scored 156 and Saturn Systemware scored 130. Visit the Stats page to view more stats.

Tourney progress We had another exciting weekend of cricket. The highlight of the weekend was the QBurst match where they won by scoring a boundary off the final ball with just a wicket remaining. It was a nail-biting encounter, 4 runs were required off the last ball and Sujith Kumar came to the rescue smashing the ball to the boundary at the right time to ensure QBurst Team A's first victory in the tournament announcing their arrival. Stats update The NeST cricket team blasted an unforgiving 163 from their allotted 10 overs aided by Mohammad Shafi's blitzkrieg of an innings. Mohammad Shafi scored 84 runs from 27 balls before he got out, and has a strike rate of 311.1. Vinod and Nirami of Visual Graphics and Extolution Softwares respectively hold on to the top spot of leading wicket takers with 6 wickets each. View more stats.

ID card required There have been several complaints regarding unauthorised players participating the Technopark cricket tournament. Therefore, the players will be asked to produce their ID cards before the start of the match, while giving the team list. Those who fail to do so will not be allowed to participate in the match. The players are requested to kindly co-operate with the proceedings.

Stats update Balachandran V. of Vanilla Networks has become the highest run scorer of the tournament with a half-century under his belt. Second week Another weekend filled with cricket matches has arrived. IBS, ProxySys, FlyTXT, Park Centre, Stabilix, SATMETRIX, Softlution and ADynamics will take to the field this Saturday. The momentum of the tournament is sure to carry over to this weekend as well, and records are going to be broken and created.

Stats update The first half-century of the tournament was smashed by Rajesh A.V. of TOONZ Animation. iDynamics broke the 100-runs barrier when they piled on 109 runs in their allotted 10 overs. The leading wicket takers of the tournament after the first weekend are Ratheesh, Ranjith and Prasanth of TOROID, Eze Care Systems and iDynamics respectively. The tournament kicked off on the 29th of November as planned and the first match was played between QBurst Technologies and Travancore Analytics. Kristal Cup Inauguration The Kristal Cup Technopark Cricket Tournament 2008 will be inaugurated on the 29th of November as per the revised schedule. The inaugural match, which will be played between QBurst Technologies and Travancore Analytics, is expected to provide the necessary fireworks.

Matches postponed The matches that were scheduled to be played on the 22nd and 23rd of November have been postponed due to the heavy rain that has been lashing the city. The new dates for all the postponed matches will be announced later.
Schedule The tournament is set to begin on the 29th of November. As per the schedule, six matches will take place on the Saturday and the Sunday of every week, and the teams will have to advance through tough group stages to enter the knock-out stage where the competition becomes even more unforgiving. And finally only the best team will progress to grab hold of the trophy.
